In swine, ipamorelin did not raise ACTH or cortisol beyond GHRH-like levels, even at doses more than 200-fold above its GH-releasing dose1.
What the research shows
In healthy men, ipamorelin produced a single GH peak at 0.67 hours with a short 2-hour terminal half-life.
Ipamorelin released GH without significant ACTH or cortisol release in swine, the selectivity that made it the first selective GH secretagogue.
In healthy adults, the long-acting DAC form of CJC-1295 raised mean GH 2- to 10-fold for 6 days or more and IGF-I 1.5- to 3-fold.
